DESCRIPTION:
The Screenpro PLFS is exactly what the name implies. A portable liquid filtration system that consists of a pump, explosion-proof motor, filter, switch and cabinet all packaged in one highly compact, mobile unit.

MOBILITY:
The PLFS will go anywhere that you can with a 110-volt extension cord. Since the PLFS has 4 hard-rubber wheels, it is well suited for many commercial, manufacturing and industrial applications.

OPERATION:
Unfiltered liquid is pumped into the filter housing by the pump located in the adjacent cabinet. The solid particles are trapped by the washable filter bag , which is easily removed for cleaning.

SAFETY:
The PLFS will filter all types of liquids including flammable solvents since the PLFS is completely explosion proof. Both the pump and switch are UL approved for years of dependable service.

APPLICATIONS:
The PLFS can easily be connected to any existing chemical tank, screen washing system, sump, `parts washer, plating system, automatic reclaiming system and a variety of other systems.  The PLFS is not just a filter, it’s a filter with a pumping system attached.

POPULAR APPLICATIONS:

FILTRATION:
The PLFS will filter any liquid from water to solvent. You simply connect one hose to the inlet coupling and one hose to the outlet coupling located on the backside of the PLFS. Plug it into any 110-volt receptacle and turn it on. You are now ready to filter 60 gallons per minute.

RATE OF FILTRATION:
Once you plug the PLFS in you are ready to filter 60 gallons-per-minute. And we are talking about filtering at micron ratings from 1-to-100 microns.

WASHABLE FILTER BAGS:
Filter bags are available for the PLFS in Polypropylene and Polyester and in both woven and micron-rated felt. The filter bags are completely reusable since they are hand and machine washable.

DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE:
The filter on the PLFS has two gauges, the upper gauge indicating incoming pump pressure, and the lower gauge indicating differential pressure. The lower gauge will let the operator know the condition of the filter bag at all times.

PUMP PROTECTION:
The PLFS is also equipped with inline pump protection. A removable and washable inline strainer basket is located just before the pump to protect it from foreign objects that could cause damage to the pump.

FEATURES:

FILTER BAG CLEANING:
When the lower gauge on the filter indicates a low-pressure reading, you simply:

1)       Loosen the four eye nuts on the filter

2)       Remove the stainless steel filter top

3)       Pull the filter bag out of the filter

Once the bag is out of the filter, you have two options:

1)       If you are using a water-soluble safety solvent such as Screenpro Industrial Cleaner, you can wash the filter bag out in any sink. Another method of cleaning the filter is to rinse it out in a 55-gallon drum of water 

2)       If you are using a solvent-based product, you will need to clean the filter bag in a solvent that will dissolve the chemical that you are filtering. A second option is washing the filter bag in any household clothes washer.

After you have cleaned the filter bag you simply replace the bag in the filter vessel and replace the top and tighten the four eyebolts. You are now ready to continue.

OPERATION:
You simply dump the water,  liquid, or solvent  that you want to filter into the hopper and turn on the switch.  Clean solvent will be discharged through the outlet coupling located on the back of the unit.

SPECIFICATIONS: MODEL P-L-F-S-2
All the specifications for the Model 2 are the same as the Model 1 except the foot print, which is  24”x48”.
